wow, it has been a long time. Any way. On to the new!
I found this cool idea on another blog called memoriesoncloverlane.com (I hope I got that right). Starting on Ash Wednesday, you get rid of one bag of "stuff" each day. I only have 6 rooms in my house so I added the laundry room and carport and gave each room 5 days each. I started yesterday and got rid of 1 box of stuff from the bedroom.
Tonight I had Girl Scouts so I was a little tired and I really was not in the mood. But, I was afraid that if I stopped now I would lose the cleaning mojo so I grabbed a trash bag and just started grabbing random papers. I filled a whole trash bag of just random crap-all garbage. I think this might work! I will do my best to post each days progress. Tomorrow, the bedroom closet!

Day 4
Days 2 and 3 were just too painful to write about! :-) On a serious note, this is a lot harder than I thought. My compulsion to turn on the TV has been overwhelming...until today. Today I came home, fed the dogs, took a walk, worked on laundry...all good stuff. I still wanted to watch TV, but it wasn't an overwhelming desire. For now, I am content to watch Indiana fight with her pink dinosaur, the cats goofing around in the bath tub and Chloe and Bunnie running while they dream doggie dreams...way better than TV.

The Challenge
OK, the challenge that I was given is as follows: Youmay not watch any TV for 31 days-so the entire month of May. By no TV, I mean no TV shows, no movies, no video games etc. That includes no watching shows online. When I accepted the challenge, I really did not think it was going to be too hard for me. I mean, I do watch TV every now and again, but I did not think it was a big deal. I thought, sure, this will be no problem. WELL I WAS WRONG! This is only day 2 and I am already considering caving in. I was supposed to be doing this with 2 co-works, but they abandoned this challenge for another one that includes not eating sugar, grains, dairy etc for 31 days. So, I am faced with a choice, 31 days of no TV or 31 days of eating meat and vegetables. OK, I will take the no TV challenge! I mean if I am not watching TV, I need chocolate or chips or SOMETHING! Agent Booth, I will miss you and Dr. Brennan. Until June 1st....

The Day Before...
Tomorrow my office is closed for the Easter holiday. A bonus day to get all of my chores done! I have a huge to do list. My house is a disaster. There is laundry that needs to be washed, vacumming that needs to be done, garbage that needs to be taken out, a ton of stuff that needs to be put away. But, I know what will happen instead. I will go home, curl up with the fur kids and enjoy an evening where I don't have to be anywhere, think about anything, clean anything or do anything. Ahhh....

Indiana Dandelion
We have a new addition! Indiana, or Indi for short. She is a sweet Border Collie girl with LOTS of personality! Everyone is settling in well. If you are in the neighborhood, stop by to visit. Indi LOVES company!

The NEW Adventures of a K9 mom
So, it is a new year. We all know what that means...new year resolutions. And mine always include some kind of weight loss/fittness one. And this year is no different. This time I am taking a new approach. I am only resolving to TRY and eat better. To TRY and exercise. Maybe with less pressure I will succeed? One can always hope! The shoes are out of the box, the new exercise pants have been purchased and washed, the pedometer has a new battery and my iPod has a sleeve to rest in on my arm as I run.
Here is to trying!

2 new fur kids
Here are the new members of the tribe! Oscar and Felix. I adopted them from Purr Partners Rescue. They are 7 month old litter mates that were rescued from a local shelter.
After we lost Otto, the girls and I really needed some new life in the house. We were not ready for a new dog (and still aren't) but I thought kittens might be ok. And it turned out to be a match made in furry heaven! Of course my being allergic to cats presented a problem, but it was nothing that Benedryl and Zyrtec couldn't fix! They are so much fun and make me laugh all the time. I will write more about their antics and I think Bunnie and Chloe probably have a few words to say about them, but for right now, just check out their incredible cuteness!
